MEET THE DOCTORS

Dr. Vejay K. Ravindran, DDS, MS

Dr Vejay K. Ravindran is a graduate of University of Illinois class of 2009. He joined the Army and served for 9 and half years. While an active duty officer he completed the coveted two year advanced education in general dentistry. He later earned a master’s degree in Comprehensive Dentistry. While an active duty officer, Dr. Ravindran's primary role was a comprehensive dentist that performed advanced surgical - oral, periodontal, endodontic surgical /endodontic non-surgical management, and complex oral rehabilitation. Dr. Ravindran also spent time working in three premier Army Hospitals managing the hospital needs of active duty soldiers.

Dr. Ravindran served as adjunct faculty teacher for the Army’s AEGD Residency (Ft.Benning). After leaving the army Dr. Vejay K. Ravindran works part time at Leesville Dental Studio, and works at North Carolina Hospital Dentistry. Dr. Ravindran treats special needs, medically compromised patients, and complex dental medical scenarios at Wake Med, and soon will be expanding to Duke Regional Hospital. Dr. Ravindran will be one of the few comprehensive dentists with full surgical privileges, and admitting privileges at Wake Med and Duke Regional in 2021.

Dr. Ravindran is the oral surgery advisor for the Academy of General Dentistry. He also routinely reviews dental articles prior to submission.

His current interests include conservative restorations to preserve tooth enamel, implant solutions for edenutlous patients, and conservative treatment planning. Dr. Ravindran takes great pride in offering service to patients.

Dr. Urvi Ravindran, DDS

Dr. Urvi Ravindran is a graduate of University of Illinois class of 2008. Her first dental gig was working for a community dental clinic in downtown chicago. This was an uplifting experience working to serve an underserved community.

Dr. Ravindran moved to Washington State shortly after dental school. Over the course of nine years she worked in private practices supporting her husband’s military career. Dr. Ravindran dental interests include dental esthetics and developing relationships with her patients. She became an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2016. In December 2018 she purchased Leesville Dental Studio.

In her free time she likes to paint, work out, and try new cooking recipes.
